are we ready...

for another "speed bump"? another "bend in the road"?

Is it possible to ever be ready?

Oh that I might once again trust... to not falter... to once again lay my burdens at the foot of the cross...

for only then will I be ready for whatever lies ahead.

Oh Edith........all I can hope for is that you know just how much you are cared for!! So many hugs and prayers.......I know I cannot lift your burden....but I can let you know that I'm here.......maybe only in cyberspace.......but you and your family are in my prayers and thoughts so often!!

Edith, Lee speaks for many of us. You are an amazing example of faith and endurance...the kind of perseverance that builds faith and character. You are living out the Word of God. When it becomes so real to you that it is the air you breathe, then you have the abundance God promises...like the peace in the midst of noise you talked about. Ponder James 1:1-18. You will be ready for what lies ahead, not because you can do it in your own strength, but because Christ will strenthen you when and as you need it. When your cup becomes empty, He will fill it. He is faithful beyond measure, and we can be certain that while we cannot see the future, He will be there to meet us, carry us, fill us, and love us. You will be ready, precious sister!

Thank you for your sweet comment on my blog. Go forward in this new day...in HIS strength! Love you and my prayers are with you today.

Edith, I can only echo what both Lee and Diane said. Your faith has been a source of inspiration for me. You as well as your family will continue to be in my prayers and I have total confidence that no matter what the future may throw at you all that you will ALWAYS be in God's loving arms. That is a promise he has given us and God DOES NOT in fact CANNOT break his promises. Do you have a copy of the poem "Footstep"? I love reading this when I have moments of questioning His presence in my life. It a gentle reminder to me.
